Here’s what runners have been saying about previous Garden Spot Village races:

I ran my first Garden Spot Village Half this morning and it was a fantastic experience! It is a challenging course, but we all need a challenge in our lives, right? The volunteers were amazing! Every one greeted you with a smile on their face and a kind word. The water and Gatorade stops were well manned and the scenery was beautiful. I love my medal and the food at the end was the best I’ve ever had post race. Thank you to everyone who made this race such a great experience!

This was my 22nd full marathon and I can absolutely say without a doubt it was the kindest and one of the friendliest marathons I’ve ever run! My friends and I can’t stop thinking about what a great day it was! We appreciate every detail that went into planning and preparing for this spectacular event! Congratulations on a “well run” marathon!!

This race was so organized and logistically stress free. The race shirts are great (they actually fit properly), super nice volunteers, weekly email updates, I loved that the aid stations had ice on an abnormally hot day, huge selection of post race food. You could really tell that a lot of thought was put into this event.

2017 Half Marathon Runner

Today was my 3rd Garden Spot Half Marathon (and my 10th half overall). I live locally but often travel to run – I’ve been to large and small events in Chicago, San Fransisco, Indiana, Maryland, and elsewhere in PA. I was reminded again today how amazing this race is, and how it’s clearly organized by people who really *get* running. Communication leading up to the race was consistent and detailed. Packet pickup was very easy (even for someone like me who gets lost all the time). All water/Gatorade stations were well stocked, porta-potties were plentiful and easy to find, and the finishers’ area had SO MANY complimentary options for runners (wraps with vegan options, egg casseroles, oatmeal, bagels, trail mix, fruit, pretzels, chicken pot pie, coffee, and even chocolate milkshakes, which were much appreciated on this abnormally hot day!) Every volunteer I encountered was helpful and kind — and every single volunteer I talked to answered my, “Thanks for your help” with “Thank YOU for being here today.” I look forward to returning again!
